Privacy Policy

1. Introduction
DiscordPlace is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our Discord server discovery platform, how we use it, and the measures we take to protect it.
By using DiscordPlace, you accept the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Discord authentication information
When you sign in via Discord, we collect:
- Your Discord username
- Your unique Discord identifier (ID)
- Your Discord avatar
2.2 Platform activity data
- Servers you add to the platform
- Reviews and ratings you leave
- Your favorite servers
- Personal links you add to your profile
2.3 Technical and browsing data
- IP address and approximate geolocation information
- Browser type and operating system
- Pages visited and time spent on the site
- Performance and usage data
- The source of your first visit (search engine, social network or referring site) and the first page you landed on, for audience statistics.
2.4 Discord server data
For servers added to our platform:
- Server name, description and image
- Member count and activity statistics
- Permanent invite link
- Tags and categories
- Voice and text activity (aggregated and anonymized)
2.5 Discord bot message processing
In servers where the DiscordPlace bot is active, messages are processed to:
- Measure text activity — aggregated message counts per server and channel, used for rankings and statistics.
- Keep short-term message logs (up to 30 days), which administrators may search, for moderation, abuse prevention and platform operations; they are automatically deleted afterwards.
Message content is retained only temporarily (up to 30 days) for the purposes described above, then automatically deleted. It is never sold or shared with third parties. You can request deletion of any data linked to your Discord ID by contacting us.
2.6 Linked accounts and Discord permissions
When you sign in via Discord, we also request the following permissions:
- Access to your linked third-party accounts (Steam, Spotify, Twitch, YouTube, etc.), synced in order to display them on your profile. Only the connections you choose to keep visible are shown publicly; administrators may view hidden ones for moderation purposes.
- Permission to add you to a Discord server in one click ("Join server"), used only when you choose to join a server from the platform — we never add you to a server without your action.
2.7 Social matching (discontinued)
This optional social-matching feature has been discontinued and is no longer available. Any information previously provided for it — interests, free-text description, age, preferred age range and language preferences — has been deleted from our systems.
2.8 Discord presence display (optional)
If you are a member of our Discord support server, your public profile can display your live Discord presence:
- Your current status (online, idle, do not disturb).
- Your current activity — the game you are playing, the track you are listening to on Spotify, or your custom status.
This information is read live from Discord at the moment your profile is viewed and cached for a few seconds at most. It is never stored in our database, never aggregated, and never shared with third parties. You can turn this display off at any time from your profile settings; once disabled, your presence is no longer requested or shown.
