1. Service Overview

Welcome to DiscordPlace (hereinafter "the Platform"), a web application developed by Zelo for discovering, promoting and rating Discord servers.

By using DiscordPlace, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (ToS). If you do not accept these terms, you must not use this service.

2. Access and Usage Conditions

2.1 Eligibility requirements

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use this platform
  • You must own a valid Discord account
  • You must comply with Discord’s Terms of Service
  • You must provide accurate and up-to-date information

2.2 User account

  • Authentication is exclusively done through Discord OAuth2
  • You are responsible for the security of your Discord account
  • Only one account per person is allowed
  • You may delete your account at any time

3. Use of the Platform

3.1 Allowed features

  • Discover and search Discord servers
  • Add your own servers to the platform
  • Leave reviews and rate servers (subject to moderation)
  • Create and customize your public profile
  • Use filtering and sorting systems
  • Interact with the integrated Discord bot

3.2 Prohibited uses

  • Illegal content: Promotion of illegal activities, hateful content, harassment
  • Spam and manipulation: Creating fake accounts, vote manipulation, spam
  • Platform attacks: Hacking attempts, denial of service, exploiting vulnerabilities
  • Inappropriate content: Pornographic content not flagged NSFW, extreme violence
  • Rights violations: Identity theft, intellectual property infringement
  • Commercial activities: Unauthorized sales, unsolicited advertising

4. Server-Specific Rules

4.1 Adding servers

  • You must be the owner or have authorization from the owner
  • The server must comply with Discord’s Terms of Service
  • Provided information must be accurate and up to date
  • Servers may be subject to moderation before publication

4.2 NSFW content

  • Must be clearly tagged as NSFW
  • Reserved for adult users
  • No illegal or extreme content is allowed
  • Compliance with applicable laws on the protection of minors

4.3 Review and rating system

  • Reviews must be honest and based on real experience
  • Creating fake reviews or manipulating ratings is prohibited
  • You cannot rate your own server
  • Reviews may be moderated or removed if they violate these rules

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 DiscordPlace ownership

The source code, design, logos and the "DiscordPlace" brand are the exclusive property of the editor. Any unauthorized reproduction or use is prohibited.

5.2 User content

You retain ownership of your content (descriptions, images, reviews) but grant DiscordPlace a license to display and process it as part of the service.

5.3 Third-party trademarks

Discord and the Discord logo are trademarks of Discord Inc. DiscordPlace is not affiliated with Discord Inc.

5.4 Custom audio and banner content

By uploading an audio file (MP3) or banner image to your profile, you warrant that you hold all rights to that content (original work, free license, or explicit permission from rights holders).

Strictly prohibited: copyrighted works without authorization, violent, hateful, sexually explicit content, or content infringing on a third party’s privacy.

You grant DiscordPlace a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host and display this content solely for the purpose of displaying your profile. This license terminates upon content deletion.

Any unlawful content can be reported via the "Report" button on the profile or by email to [email protected]. Content will be removed within 48 hours after verification (DMCA procedure — see Legal Notice).

6. Moderation and Sanctions

6.1 Moderation system

  • Automated and manual content moderation
  • Community reporting system
  • Volunteer moderation team
  • Appeals process for contested sanctions

6.2 Possible sanctions

  • Warning: For minor violations
  • Content removal: Reviews, non-compliant servers
  • Temporary restriction: Limited access to certain features
  • Account suspension: Temporary or permanent depending on severity
  • Ban: Permanent denial of access to the platform

7. Responsibilities and Limitations

7.1 User responsibility

  • You are solely responsible for your content and actions
  • You must respect third-party rights
  • You assume the risks related to using third-party servers

7.2 DiscordPlace liability limitations

  • Service provided "as is" without 100% availability guarantee
  • No responsibility for the content of listed Discord servers
  • No guarantee on the accuracy of information provided by users
  • Liability limited to amounts allowed by law

8. Data Protection

The processing of your personal data is detailed in our Privacy Policy, which is an integral part of these ToS.

We are committed to GDPR compliance and protecting your privacy.

9. Service Evolution

9.1 Service changes

We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue all or part of the service with reasonable notice. Major changes will be notified to users.

9.2 ToS changes

These ToS may be modified to reflect service evolution or legal requirements. Users will be informed of major changes by email or notification on the site.

10. Termination

10.1 Termination by user

  • You can delete your account at any time
  • Deletion is effective immediately
  • Some data may be retained for legal reasons

10.2 Termination by DiscordPlace

  • Possible in case of serious ToS violations
  • 30-day notice except for serious violations
  • You can recover your data before deletion

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, and after attempting amicable resolution, French courts shall have sole jurisdiction.

For European consumers, this clause does not affect your rights as a consumer under the laws of your country of residence.
